Alpine Tundra occurs at high elevations above the natural tree line. The climate is cold, windy, and highly variable throughout the year. Soils are shallow, nutrient-poor, and often frozen. Vegetation remains low and compact, adapted to intense sunlight. Growing seasons are extremely short. This biome feels open, bright, and uncompromising.
